John E. Mayer
holds the Accredited Investment
Fiduciary Auditor™ designation AIFA®
from the Center for Fiduciary
Studies since November 2000. In this classroom-based program
a designee must demonstrate that they comprehend all pertinent issues
surrounding the fiduciary so that they may adequately evaluate an
independent investment process.
In addition
to a tax and accounting background - John E. Mayer has over twenty-five
year’s experience in the life insurance industry. His specialization
is in analyzing life insurance policies owned by private foundations
(§4944), charitable remainder trusts, irrevocable trusts and
LLC’s, as well as corporate owned policies. He has extensive
experience in the philanthropic area, real estate, advanced estate
planning strategies, investments including being a registered representative
and registered investment advisor. He has offices in Michigan, Arizona
and Florida and works with clients and advisors across the country.
He is a licensed insurance counselor in the state of Michigan. He
refers to himself as a “Financial Problem Solver” –
solving clients problems is why his services are sought out.
He is an approved
continuing education provider, an author of many articles for many
nationally known publications – see articles tab. He has been
a guest speaker at a myriad of universities, trust companies and
law firms across the country as well as a guest on numerous money
matter talk radio programs.
He has been
an expert witness in a number of fiduciary litigation cases past
and pending. The author of legislation to amend the Michigan Professional
Service Corporation Act of 1962 – new law is Michigan Act
48, Public Acts of 1998, Enrolled Senate Bill 775.
